Basketball Recap: Cape Hatteras' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Cape Hatteras had lost four straight headed into Tuesday's matchup, but Paizley Schultz didn't let it get to five. Everything went the Cape Hatteras Hurricanes' way against the Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Griffins on Tuesday as the Cape Hatteras Hurricanes made off with a 34-10 victory thanks in part to Schultz, who went 8 of 12 on her way to 19 points and three steals. Those 19 points gave her a new career-high.

Cape Hatteras' win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Cape Hatteras will welcome Manteo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Northside - Pinetown at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
