Volleyball Recap: Fort Osage Indians vs. Platte County Pirates
Fort Osage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Platte County Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Thursday.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16.
Platte County can attribute much of their success to Sailor Bane, who had four digs and 15 assists.
Fort Osage's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Platte County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6-1 record this season.
Fort Osage's road trip will continue as they head out to face Smithville at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Platte County, they will square off against Hickman at 10:40 a.m. on Saturday. Platte County is facing Hickman at the right time seeing as Hickman is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
