Basketball Recap: Phoebus Takes a Loss

Phoebus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 46-28 bruising from the Gloucester Dukes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dukes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-37 back in January.

Phoebus' loss dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Gloucester, their win bumped their record up to 9-13.

Phoebus and Gloucester could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. Phoebus (ranked 329th) will meet Warwick (ranked 86th) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Gloucester will take on Woodside at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 157 places (242 vs. 85).
