Basketball Recap: Holyoke Wins Going Away Against Burlington

Holyoke not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since December 12, 2024 (when they won 61-33). They were the clear victors by a 63-39 margin over the Burlington Cougars. The victory continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.

Colby Weber had an outrageously good game as he went 6-for-12 en route to 21 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (three). Another player making a difference was Kaden Herman, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Holyoke was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Burlington only racked up nine.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Weston Schaal, who shot 42% from the field on his way to 12 points and eight boards. Grajeda Noe was another key player, putting up a point along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Holyoke's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Holyoke has already played their next contest, a 47-35 loss against Brush on the 9th. Burlington has also already played their next matchup (against Goodland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
