Basketball Recap: Grant Union Comes Up Short

Grant Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 73-67 heartbreaker at the hands of the Weston-McEwen TigerScots. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (66), the Prospectors still had to take the loss.

Grant Union's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Weston-McEwen, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Weston-McEwen beat Grant Union by a score of 73-67 later that day.
