Basketball Game Preview: Piketon Redstreaks vs. Southeastern Panthers

The Piketon Redstreaks will head out to square off against the Southeastern Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Southeastern took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Piketon, who comes in off a win.

Piketon is headed into the matchup having just posted their biggest win since December 28, 2024 on Saturday. They blew past Paint Valley 50-28.

Meanwhile, Southeastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a 88-49 loss at the hands of Unioto. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 567th, while the Shermans are ranked 84th).

Piketon's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Southeastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.

Piketon was able to grind out a solid win over Southeastern when the teams last played back in November of 2024, winning 57-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Piketon since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
