Baseball Recap: Concord Comes Up Short

Concord lost against Goshen back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Minutemen lost 15-3 to the RedHawks.

Alex Kridler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Mark Herman, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Concord has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Goshen, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Concord will head out to take on South Bend Riley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Goshen, they will venture away from home to square off against Wawasee at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
