Soccer Recap: Mt. Baker Comes Up Short

Mt. Baker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lynden Lions. While losing is never fun, Mt. Baker can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 226th, while Lynden are ranked 84th).

Mt. Baker's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Lynden, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1-2.

Mt. Baker and Lynden will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Mountaineers see the pitch they'll take on Squalicum at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Lynden, their break will end when they face Blaine at 4:30 p.m. on the 15th.
