Softball Recap: Triway Has No Trouble Against Fairless

Triway owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They put the hurt on the Fairless Falcons with a sharp 9-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-9 last Saturday.

Maddy Moran made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Moran was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kenzie Gatti, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-5. Myah Lester was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Triway kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fairless only managed three hits.

Triway has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 11.5 runs this season. As for Fairless, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Triway will face off against Dover at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairless, they will take on Waynedale at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
