Baseball Recap: Manti Find Success

Manti posted their closest win since April 10th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Richfield Wildcats 17-16. The Templars haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Manti's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Chase Keisel, who went 2-for-4 with six RBI and three runs. Keisel has become a key player for the Templars: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 9-10 otherwise. Mason Cherry was another, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

Manti lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more home runs.

Manti's record is now 12-10. As for Richfield, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manti will venture away from home to face off against Juab at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Richfield, they will head out to square off against Ogden at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
