Volleyball Recap: Eden Prairie Takes a Loss

Eden Prairie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Lakeville South Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-5.

Eden Prairie's offense was headlined by Aria Laffond and Ellie Friedrichs, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Anna Schultz and her seven assists.

Eden Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Lakeville South, the win was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-1.

Eden Prairie didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Jackson County Central on the 11th. As for Lakeville South, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Eagan on the 11th.
