Baseball Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short

River Valley fell victim to Yuma Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shamrocks. The Dust Devils haven't had much luck with the Shamrocks recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

River Valley's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-3-2. As for Yuma Catholic, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. River Valley will take on rival Odyssey Institute at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Yuma Catholic is set to square off against their familiar foe Highland Prep at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
