Football Recap: Woodside Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After soaring to 42 points the game before, Woodside was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They lost 26-6 to the Norview Pilots. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pilots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.

When it comes to explaining why Woodside lost, don't look at Daniel Young. Despite the final result, he rushed for 144 yards on only 12 carries. Young got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 76 yards.

Jahmel Howard was nothing short of spectacular for Norview: he rushed for 179 yards and four scores while picking up 9.0 yards per carry.

Woodside's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Norview, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Woodside and Norview will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Wolverines are set to take on their familiar foe Hampton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Norview will face off against rival Granby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
