Recap: Heartland Christian Saints vs. Gospel Haven Academy
The Heartland Christian Saints posted their closest victory yet this season on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Gospel Haven Academy 29-26. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Heartland Christian has scored all year.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heartland Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reagan Clemens, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Landon Clemens, who scored nine points.
Heartland Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Gospel Haven Academy, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Heartland Christian will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Calvary Christian at 3:00 p.m. on January 20th. Calvary Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games. Gospel Haven Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gilead Christian at 6:30 p.m. on February 1st.
