Basketball Game Preview: Alief Taylor Lions vs. Alief Elsik Rams

The Alief Taylor Lions will challenge the Alief Elsik Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alief Taylor is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Alief Taylor came up short against George Ranch on Tuesday, falling 73-50. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 785th, while the Longhorns are ranked 206th).

Meanwhile, Alief Elsik can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 51-37 victory over Fulshear.

Alief Taylor better keep an eye on Timothy Ofesi. He was instrumental in Alief Elsik's win, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 18 boards. Ofesi is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trenton Scott, who posted ten points and three steals.

Alief Taylor's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Alief Elsik, their win bumped their record up to 10-16.

Alief Taylor didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Alief Elsik when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 49-43 victory.
