Recap: Skyline Falcons vs. Severance Silver Knights
The Skyline Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 64-30 loss at the hands of Severance. Skyline has struggled against Severance recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aiyana Dothard, who scored eight points along with six rebounds. Mikaela Stromquist was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Skyline bumped their record down to 2-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.3 points per game. As for Severance, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skyline will take on Thompson Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Thompson Valley is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Severance, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
