Softball Recap: Mesa Takes a Loss

Mesa lost against Mountain View back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Mesa came up short against Mountain View, falling 20-1. The Jackrabbits' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Mesa's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Mountain View, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mesa will welcome Gilbert at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Mesa is facing Gilbert at the right time seeing as Gilbert is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Mountain View, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chandler at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Mountain View's pitchers better be ready for this one: Chandler has averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
