Basketball Recap: Davis Sr. Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Ahmere Bradley and Rhys Crawford + How To Watch

Davis Sr. suffered their closest defeat since January 27th on Thursday. They fell just short of the Ponderosa Bruins by a score of 54-51. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 61-60 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Davis Sr. had strong showings from Rhys Crawford, who posted 19 points and six boards, and Ahmere Bradley, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. Crawford's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Julian Zaragoza also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ponderosa to victory, but perhaps none more so than Banyan Bila, who earned eight points and three steals. Those three steals gave Bila a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Travis Bays, who put up eight points and three steals.

Davis Sr.'s loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Ponderosa, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Davis Sr. didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-53 victory against Tournament Opponent on the 12th. As for Ponderosa, they have also already played their next contest, a 67-50 defeat against Antelope on the 12th.
