Softball Recap: West Bridgewater Takes a Loss

West Bridgewater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 14-1 to the Fairhaven Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 9-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

West Bridgewater saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Regan Bryant, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

West Bridgewater's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Fairhaven, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. West Bridgewater is set to face off against their familiar foe Somerset Berkley Regional at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Fairhaven will take on rival Old Rochester Regional at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
