Basketball Game Preview: Apache Junction Prospectors vs. Palo Verde Titans

The Apache Junction Prospectors will face off against the Palo Verde Titans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Apache Junction is looking for their season's first win.

Apache Junction is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Miami on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Apache Junction had to suffer through a 103-26 loss at the hands of Miami. The Prospectors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 69-8.

Meanwhile, Palo Verde lost to St. Augustine Catholic on the road by a 61-44 margin on Monday. The Titans were down 48-27 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Apache Junction will have to contain Gaby Oliver as she made an impact in Palo Verde's last game. She dropped a double-double on 42 points and 14 rebounds. Oliver's evening made it 19 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Palo Verde now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Apache Junction, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
