Football Recap: Miami Comes Up Short

Miami dropped to 2-2 on Friday, ending the team's six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 45-8 loss at the hands of the Globe Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Vandals have suffered against the Tigers since September 1, 2017.

As for Globe, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The matchup marked their most dominant victory of the season so far.

Jaeger Franco was his usual excellent self, rushing for 102 yards and a pair of TDs on only six carries, while also throwing for 258 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.3 yards per attempt. Those 258 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Landon Rios was Franco's top target, picking up 119 receiving yards and one score.

Looking ahead, Miami is taking a road trip to challenge Glendale Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Globe, they will host Morenci at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
