Basketball Recap: Englewood Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Englewood played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 70-40 loss at the hands of the Standley Lake Gators. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Pirates have suffered since December 3, 2024.

Standley Lake got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Titus Schrecengost out in front who went 6-for-10 to rack up 18 points and five assists. Schrecengost is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 60% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Asher Serlen, who shot 64% from the field en route to 18 points and six rebounds.

Englewood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Englewood will square off against Littleton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Standley Lake, they will be taking part in a tournament against Fort Collins at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
