Soccer Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln's game on Wednesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Pinkston Vikings by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 back in January.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Pinkston, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will take on Wilmer-Hutchins at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lincoln's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Pinkston, they will challenge Inspired Vision at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Pinkston is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.
