Basketball Recap: Arickaree Takes a Loss

Arickaree was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 42-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Caliche Buffaloes.

Caliche's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hallie Lewis, who shot 75% from the field en route to 16 points and five steals. The dominant performance gave Lewis a new career-high in shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Ryann Svoboda, who posted nine points and seven boards.

Arickaree's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Caliche, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Arickaree has already played their next contest, a 60-43 defeat against Prairie on the 1st. As for Caliche, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 47-44 victory against Otis on the 1st.
