Ridgeview took an eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Falcons 9-8 on Wednesday.

Ridgeview saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alec Harper, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Another was Landon Ludwig, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Ridgeview's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10. As for Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
