Baseball Recap: The Heights Comes Up Short

The Heights had lost seven straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 8-17 to make it eight. They fell just short of the St. Mary's Ryken Knights by a score of 2-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, The Heights hasn't been shut out since back in April.

As for St. Mary's Ryken, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-15. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games.

For St. Mary's Ryken's part, the result came thanks to Henry Moltumyr's shutout, as he gave up just six hits.

On the hitting side, St. Mary's Ryken saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was AJ Stefko, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

As of now, neither The Heights nor St. Mary's Ryken have any future games scheduled.
