Volleyball Recap: Norwich Free Academy Triumphs + How To Watch

Norwich Free Academy hadn't done well against Waterford recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Lancers 3-2. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Norwich Free Academy took Waterford into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 29-27, 19-25, 22-25, 15-11.

Norwich Free Academy had a senior duo take command as Sophie Miner had 35 digs and four aces and London Camp had 21 digs. Those 35 digs set a new season-high mark for Miner. Savannah Guernsey also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Norwich Free Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They are a perfect 3-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

The win got Norwich Free Academy back to even at 4-4. As for Waterford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Norwich Free Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against New London on the 22nd. Waterford has also already played their next contest (against Killingly), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
