Basketball Game Preview: Madison Bulldogs vs. Vermillion Tanagers

The Madison Bulldogs will take on the Vermillion Tanagers at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Madison comes in on three and Vermillion on five.

Madison is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Deubrook, posting an 89-55 victory. While the Bulldogs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, Vermillion was able to grind out a solid win over Baltic on Thursday, taking the game 59-47. Given the Tanagers' advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 62nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Madison's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Vermillion, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
