It was a good run, but Glenbrook South unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glenbrook North Spartans. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Amanda Mikuzis paced Glenbrook South's offense, picking up four kills. Mikuzis were helped by Annie Rosinski and Maddie Hermann, who contributed two assists each. Ryann Knuth controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Glenbrook South's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Glenbrook North, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glenbrook South will venture away from home to square off against Loyola Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Glenbrook North, they will face off against Warren Township at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
