Volleyball Recap: West Stanly Colts vs. Piedmont Panthers

West Stanly came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Piedmont Panthers 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Colts, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

West Stanly never let Piedmont on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 26-24, 25-11.

West Stanly can attribute much of their success to Merrin Kinley, who had ten digs. Kinley is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

West Stanly pushed their record up to 21-2 with the win, which was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season. As for Piedmont, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

West Stanly will play host again on Wednesday to welcome Parkwood, where the match is scheduled at 6:00 p.m. Piedmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
