Football Recap: Seminole Ridge Skates Past Westwood with Ease

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Seminole Ridge walked away with it. They blew past the Westwood Panthers, posting a 47-7 victory. The Hawks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Seminole Ridge found their leader in sophomore Aubrey Fogel, who threw for 259 yards and six TDs while completing 80% of her passes. With that strong performance, Fogel is now averaging an impressive 3.2 passing touchdowns per game.

The win was the fourth in a row for Seminole Ridge, bringing their record up to 11-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.8 points over those games. As for Westwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Coming up, Seminole Ridge will square off against South Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Hawks 9.3, the Bulldogs 5.1) so any points scored will be well earned. Westwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
