Softball Game Preview: Bartlett Panthers vs. Millington Central Trojans

Bartlett hasn't had much luck against Millington Central recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Panthers will head out to square off against the Trojans at 6:30 p.m. Bartlett has given up an average of 10.8 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bartlett fell victim to Tipton-Rosemark Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 16-0 to the Rebels. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, while it was Millington Central who put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, it was Brighton who put up more. The Trojans came up short against the Cardinals, falling 13-4. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost six in a row.

Millington Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Washburn, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Bartlett's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Millington Central, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10-1.

Bartlett suffered a grim 9-2 defeat to Millington Central in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
