Blue Valley Southwest had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came out on top against the Topeka Trojans by a score of 2-0. The Timberwolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Blue Valley Southwest took both sets by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-6.

Blue Valley Southwest's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Catlin Shao, who had 15 assists and three digs. Shao is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jessica Howe, who had six digs and two aces.

Blue Valley Southwest was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive matchups.

Blue Valley Southwest's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Topeka, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
