Volleyball Recap: Howell Vikings vs. Timberland T-Wolves
Howell had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They skirted past the Timberland T-Wolves 3-2. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the T-Wolves, too.
Howell wouldn't go down easily and took Timberland into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 24-26, 25-27, 15-10.
Danielle Moore paced Howell's offense, picking up 35 kills. Moore got some help from
Morgan Dumm and her 41 assists.
Avery Helms controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Timberland's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Campbell Hull, who had 24 digs, and Riley Shelton, who had 13 digs.
