Gunnar Schockelt and Jakob Thomas were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Schockelt didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Thomas tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Schockelt has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.
