Basketball Game Preview: Central Heights Vikings vs. Northeast Vikings

The Central Heights Vikings will head out to challenge the Northeast Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Central Heights lost to Jayhawk Linn on the road by a 30-12 margin. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Jayhawks recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, Central Heights had strong showings from Addison Ouellette, who posted five points in addition to five boards and five steals, and Arabella Dunbar, who put up no points. The dominant performance also gave Ouellette a new career-high in blocks (three). Abigail Roullett also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Meanwhile, Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against Southeast, falling 65-34. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Vikings have suffered against the Lancers since January 4, 2019.

Central Heights now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Northeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
