Monarch not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 30, 2024 (when they won 52-0). They took their contest with ease, bagging a 48-10 victory over the Deerfield Beach Bucks. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Bucks are ranked 267th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Monarch had a senior duo take command as Florentino Lopez threw for 242 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt and Jaborree Riggins picked up 101 receiving yards and two TDs.

The win got Monarch back to even at 1-1. As for Deerfield Beach, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
