Basketball Recap: Ian Bullie and Jaysen Moise Secure Win for Seneca Valley

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seneca Valley). They managed a 61-56 win over the Paint Branch Panthers on Monday. This was payback for the Screamin' Eagles, who suffered a 53-51 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Seneca Valley was led to victory by Jaysen Moise and Ian Bullie. Moise went 6 for 11 on his way to 21 points and eight rebounds, while Bullie dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 boards. Bullie continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of JJ Green, who posted nine points.

Seneca Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaiah Lee, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 19 points and four steals. Lee's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Clement Nyumba, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Seneca Valley and bumps their season record up to 2-2. As for Paint Branch, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-1.

Seneca Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 67-41 defeat against Northwest on the 20th. As for Paint Branch, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 88-47 win against Northwood on the 18th.
