Preview: East Liverpool Potters vs. Beaver Beavers
The East Liverpool Potters will head out on the road to face off against the Beaver Beavers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully East Liverpool focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Monday.
Last Monday, East Liverpool was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-50 to Southern. East Liverpool has struggled against Southern recently, as their game on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, East Liverpool had strong showings from Kenzie Headley, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds, and Dacianelle Andrews, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Walker, who scored 7 points.
Meanwhile, Beaver had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Edison 62-22 on the road.
East Liverpool's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Beaver, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
East Liverpool strolled past Beaver in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a score of 48-34. Will East Liverpool repeat their success, or does Beaver have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
