Football Recap: Christian Collegiate Academy Takes a Loss

Christian Collegiate Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-11. They had to suffer through a 54-0 loss at the hands of the Columbia Academy Cougars. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 47-6 to the Cougars when the teams met back in August of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Columbia Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won eight games by 26 points or more so far this season.

Columbia Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bentley Myers, who rushed for 60 yards and one TD.

Christian Collegiate Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Columbia Academy, after each having a week off, they and Tri-County Academy will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Rebels have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven contests.
