Softball Recap: Midland Bulldogs vs. Midland Legacy Rebels

Midland easily dispatched San Angelo Central last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Midland fell just short of the Midland Legacy Rebels by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rebels apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Malayah Carillo was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over 6.1 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February.
