Silsbee is a perfect 3-0 against Anahuac since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Silsbee Tigers duke it out with Anahuac Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Silsbee's offense. They came up short against Huntington on Friday, falling 7-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Silsbee got a good showing from Peyton Grisham, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave Grisham a new career-high in strikeouts (two).

On the hitting side, Silsbee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was J Miller, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Brendon Hughes also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Even though they lost, Silsbee hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Huntington struck out seven times.

Meanwhile, Anahuac lost 9-3 to Tarkington on Friday.

The loss snapped Silsbee's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-3 record. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Anahuac, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Everything went Silsbee's way against Anahuac when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Silsbee made off with a 12-2 win. Will Silsbee repeat their success, or does Anahuac have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
