Recap: Franklin Panthers vs. Tuscola Mountaineers
The Franklin Panthers's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 55-43 victory over Tuscola. Given Franklin's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while Tuscola is ranked 643rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Max Mcclure, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. The match was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. Braylen Dezarn was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Tuscola, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin will take on A.C. Reynolds at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully A.C. Reynolds focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday. As for Tuscola, they will head out on the road to face off against T.C. Roberson at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. T.C. Roberson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 249 points over their last four games.
