Soccer Game Preview: Snohomish vs. Monroe

The Snohomish Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Monroe Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Snohomish earned a 3-1 win over Marysville-Pilchuck.

Meanwhile, Monroe came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Seagulls with a sharp 5-1 victory. Considering Monroe have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Monroe pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Snohomish, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5-2.

Snohomish suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Monroe in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
