Basketball Recap: Telluride Takes a Loss

Telluride was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Nucla Mustangs 76-9. The contest marked the Miners' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Nucla got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kendra McCluer out in front who dropped a triple-double with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 13 steals. Those 13 steals gave McCluer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Shay Snyder, who shot 60% from the field to rack up 21 points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

Telluride's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Nucla, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4.

As of now, neither Telluride nor Nucla have any future games scheduled.
