Softball Recap: Citrus Hill Hawks vs. West Valley Mustangs

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Citrus Hill). They walked away with an 18-15 win over the West Valley Mustangs on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Tatum Pino was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Citrus Hill got a massive performance out of Danica Hess, who scored five runs while going 3-for-5. Julissa Sandoval was another key player, scoring four runs while going 2-for-5.
