Evansville Mater Dei is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game two weeks ago. They took a hard 64-50 fall against North Posey.

Meanwhile, Evansville North didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Lebanon on Friday, but they still walked away with a 54-48 win.

Evansville North's win came from a few key players Evansville Mater Dei will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Libby Blythe, who posted 17 points. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points. Evie Sale was another key player, putting up 12 points and five steals.

Evansville North is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Evansville Mater Dei, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Things could have been worse for Evansville Mater Dei, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-42 loss to Evansville North when the teams last played back in December of 2023.
