Recap: Donna Redskins vs. Donna North Chiefs
The Donna Redskins fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They strolled past Donna North with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 35-21. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Donna also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Donna to victory, but perhaps none more so than Geoffrey Creighton lefevre, who threw for 323 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt. Creighton lefevre hasn't dropped below 300 passing yards for three straight games. Daniel Martinez and his 93 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Donna's victory.
Despite the defeat, Donna North saw an underclassman step up: Prince Johnson gained 103 total yards and two touchdowns.
Donna's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Donna North, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Donna will be playing at home against Harlingen South at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Donna North, they will head out on the road to face off against Weslaco East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Weslaco East will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
