Meanwhile, Lake Highlands unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Pearce by a score of 3-2. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mustangs 25-17 in the first set.
Lake Highlands actually scored more points across those five sets (117-115), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-21, 34-32, 24-26, 15-13.
Nimitz's win bumped their record up to 14-17. As for Lake Highlands, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-12.
