Soccer Game Preview: Raytown vs. Grain Valley + Official Tickets

The Raytown Bluejays will square off against the Grain Valley Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Raytown's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Raytown managed to slip by Fort Osage the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bluejays came up short against the Indians on Monday, falling 5-0. The shutout was out of character for Raytown seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grain Valley). Their defense stepped up to hand Chrisman an 8-0 shutout on Monday. The win was familiar territory for Grain Valley, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Raytown's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-4. As for Grain Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

Raytown skirted past Grain Valley 2-1 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Do the Bluejays have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
